What to do in case of...
The 1st
threat of flooding and flood:
- if you have a critical lack of time,
discontinue any activities and quickly remove into the safe place (hill, a lot higher slope etc.) or into pre-determined location,
- if you have enough time:
• turn off or close the main distribution frame of electrical power, water and gas,
• move household equipment to a higher floor,
• close all windows,
• prepare your escape vehicle in case of emergency,
• prepare medicines, documents, appropriate clothing, groceries and drinking water for 2-3 days,
• take the waterproof footwear and rainwear,
• remove the substance that in contact with water can cause a chemical reaction (poisons, caustics, acid etc.),
• inform your neighbours,
• prepare the evacuation of animals,
• prepare an evacuation baggage,
• follow instructions of rescue team members, local government and state administration, follow instructions through mass information media.
The 2nd
fire:
- call the emergency number 112 or 150,
- if possible, put out fire or make the necessary measures to prevent its spread,
- close the gas inlet,
- as far as possible, lead out animals to a safety distance, take out valuables,
- make way for rescue forces,
- do not impede a rescue forces activity on their arrival at the place of action,
- provide the material or personal assistance on call of the intervention commander, the commander of fire protection unit or the mayor.
The 3rd
storm:
- keep the house (leave the house only it is nenessary),
- do not stay at open areas,
- do not stay at unstable barriers,
- close and ensure windows and doors,
- remove free-lying objects from the cortis,
- do not let out children,
- take care of pets,
- do not park under the trees and the slender buildings,
- do not drive light vehicles and unladen trucks on the open wind area.
4th
leakage of dangerous chemical substance (or of the use of chemical weapons):
- leave promptly the vulnerable place (against the wind direction),
- hide in a closed room (in a hiding, if available) as soon as possible,
- close and seal windows, doors and other openings (create the insulated closed area),
- turn off ventilation,
- put out open fire, turn off gas appliances,
- follow an mass information media (radio, TV) broadcasting,
- follow broadcast instructions, do not underestimate the risk,
- prepare improvised protection means (hold to the mouth and nose wet cloth),
- prepare evacuation baggage,
- phone only in urgent case (do not engage the phone lines),
- provide assistance to sick, affected, senior person, persons unable to move, take care of the unattend children,
- feed pets, give them water and close them,
- keep cool and head,
- leave the building only under the direction,
- if you are out of the building, your decision is dependent on the direction of wind
transmitting a dangerous substance from the source of leakage and from your position (if you are situated in the wind direction and you are in the press of time, hide in a building immediately and follow instructions to stay in a building),
- wait for further instructions.
The 5th
leakage of dangerous biological agents (or of the use of biological means):
- proceed as in case of the leakage of dangerous chemical substances
- provide against the infection :
• follow consistently the quarantine, hygienic, anti-epidemical and anti-epizootic measures,
• follow the information about the situation provided by local government and state administration,
• do not use water from unknown sources and,
• prepare the water by chemical disinfectants or by reboiling,
• keep the body cleanness under the adverse conditions too,
• do not touch suspicious subjects (only if it is necessary),
• in case of illness call medical assistance immediately (suspicion of the disease report municipality authorities, stream health care institutions or civil protection authorities),
• check body temperature regularly,
• don´t leave the building, only if needed (for example, the purchase of basic needs),
• make house disinfection within your resources from time to time,
• follow the instructions of medics and sanitary services.
- postupujte tak, ako pri úniku nebezpečnej chemickej látky,
- chráňte sa pred preniknutím alebo zanesením nákazy do organizmu:
• dôsledne dodržiavajte karanténne hygienické, protiepidemické a protiepizootické opatrenia,
• sledujte informácie o situácii poskytnuté miestnou samosprávou a štátnou správou,
• nepoužívajte vodu z neznámych zdrojov,
• pripravte si vodu pomocou chemických dezinfekčných prostriedkov alebo prevarením,
• udržujte čistotu tela i za nepriaznivých podmienok,
• zbytočne sa nedotýkajte podozrivých predmetov,
• pri známkach onemocnenia ihneď vyhľadajte zdravotnícku pomoc (podozrenie z ochorenia hláste orgánom obce alebo spádovému zdravotníckemu zariadeniu, prípadne orgánom civilnej ochrany),
• pravidelne kontrolujte telesnú teplotu,
• obmedzujte pohyb mimo budovu alebo ju opúšťajte iba na nevyhnutnú dobu (napr. nákup základných životných potrieb),
• priebežne uskutočňujte v rámci svojich možností dezinfekciu vo svojich bytoch a v domoch,
• dodržujte pokyny zdravotníkov a pracovníkov hygienickej služby.
The 6th
leakage of dangerous radioactive substance (or of the use of nuclear arms):
- hide in a closed room (preferably in the cellar) as soon as possible, on the opposite side of the nuclear facility, if possible,
- if you are in open space, find the nearest house,
- in case of a possible contact with radioactive substances before hiding:
• before entry into the building, put a contaminated outerwear and footwear into the airtight packaging and do not use them,
• wash your hands, face and hair, rinse the eyes, mouth, clean the nose and the ears,
• take a shower and change your clothes, if possible,
- stay in the room center on the ground floor or in the basement (room with a minimum number of windows),
- close and seal windows and doors,
- turn off the ventilation and seal other openings,
- follow the news via the mass information media,
- prepare the means of improvised protection of the respiratory tract and human body surface,
- prepare the evacuation luggage,
- iodic preparations (tablets of potassium iodide) and the means of individual protection will be provided, if necessary, and with the instructions of use (use only after the public call),
- protect your food and water supplies from possible contamination – put it into the plastic or at least into the paper packaging and in the refrigerator, freezer or chamber,
- feed pets, give them water and close them,
- wait for further instructions,
- hide or carry out evacuation under instructions of rescuers or on the official declaration,
- leave a building only by order.
7th
traffic accident involved in the leakage of dangerous substances:
- don´t block by your vehicle the whole communication over land,
- shutoff the vehicle motor and promptly leave the contaminated area (in the case of the dangerous substances effect range),
- protect your respiratory system by the improvised protection means (hanky, scarf ,...),
- in any case, keep away from crashed car, from that a hazardous substance leakage (don´t attempt your life),
- report the accident as soon as possible to emergency line,
- do not touch as a dangerous substance as contaminated things,
- on arrival of rescuers, follow instructions of the intervention commander or police.
The 8th of terrorist attack:
- keep a cool head, do not panic,
- protect the respiratory tract by dampy cloth, leave threatened area and hide in a suitable building,
- follow information provided by the media (TV, radio and municipal broadcast),
- perform instructions ordered by authorized persons,- prepare improvised means of protection of the respiratory system and body surface:
• protective mask – made from a hanky, several layers of gauze, towel,
• raincoat,
• rubber boots,
• gloves (carry bags)
• overalls made from impregnated materials,
- seal windows, doors and the other scuttles,
- do not phone (only in urgent cases),
- provide assistance to neighbours and colleagues (to children, pregnant women, elderly, paralyzed persons),
- remove your car from the public road, which may constitute a barrier to rescue units,
- monitor continuously the health state of relatives.
8.1 Anonymous notice (the imposition of bombs, explosives, the use of dangerous substance, etc.).
• in case of finding the suspecious object (envelope, package ,...) call the emergency line 112 or 158 immediately,
• do not touch the suspecious object,
• open windows and doors,
• draw the curtains, blind,
• leave on call a building and follow evacuated people into the designated area,
• take all the personal things with you,
• wait for further instructions of security forces
• in case of anonymous notification of placing the bomb or explosive in a building, leave the building and remove yourself as far as possible from this place.
8.2 Receive of suspicious consignment (letter, package):
• do not open suspicious consignment and do not shake it,
• put it into carry bag or the other suitable container,
• then leave the room, wash hands with soap and water,
• ring the emergency number 112 or 158 to notify emergency,
• police and fire rescue brigade takes over a shipment from you and takes it to verify its content.
8.3 The terrorist action (use of firearms)
• if you are out of the building, leave immediately the endangered area,
• if you are in the building, keep away from the windows,
• hide the appropriate piece of furniture,
• follow instructions of the security forces,
• do not use fixed telephone lines,
• keep a cool head.
The 9th
the occurrence of epidemic and animal epidemic (epizootic):
- isolate sick people and animals,
- prevent from their contact with the other people and animals,
- identify the source of infection (e.g. incorrectly stored waste),
- ensure quarantine,
- ensure preventive vaccination and administration of antibiotics (prophylaxis),
- make hygienic cleaning of victims, as well as rescue units,
- carry out disinfection, disinfestation (the destruction of microorganisms, rodents, insects),
– ensure environmental disposal of dead animals.
